SonySony CyberShot DSC-W390 digital camera : There are indications that Sony will soon introduce a new Cyber-shot W-camera. The model name Sony Cybershot DSC-W390 has been mentioned, and this will bring us to a new generation of Sony Cybershot W-series cameras. In 2005, Sony launched the Sony DSC-W1, a 5 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom. After that, several generations were introduced, and we now seem to have arrived at the most recent generation available, that of the Sony W390. We don't know much about the new Sony DSC-W390 at this time, however, we expect it to be a 12+ Megapixel camera with at least a 5x optical zoom. When it comes to the screen, we predict a 3-inch screen, perhaps with touchscreen technology.

Sony CyberShot W390 camera functions
The Sony Cyber-shot W390 will undoubtedly feature the famous BIONZ processor, and thus it should also be possible to shoot at a high sensitivity setting of ISO 3200 at a minimum. The BIONZ processor has to ensure an optimum signal/noise ratio. Today's compact camera is equipped with many automatic settings and image processing modes. The Sony DSC-W390 will also have to provide this in order to be able to stand up to the competition.

Sony DSC-W390 photographic settings
We have Smile Shutter and an advanced face detection in mind, but also a variety of scene modes like portrait, night shots, macro and action, which are among our personal favorites. Shooting becomes accessible to everybody, and also a video function will be included. What we have in mind, is HD video with perhaps an HDMI connection to connect the camera to an HD TV set.

Sony CyberShot W390 introduction in Las Vegas
It is not yet known when the Sony Cybershot DSC-W390 camera will be introduced, but the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas would certainly be the right time and place for it. The current Cybershot W-series cameras also had their Vegas-style introduction, so it is quite obvious this will also happen to the Sony Cybershot DSC-W390. As soon as we receive more information on the new Sony Cybershot W390 or the other Cybershot W-cameras, we will bring you an update!
