NewsFlip WiFi HD camcorder : Gradually more often, the convenient, ultra-compact camcorders with Full HD video function can be spotted in the streets. Held freely in the hand, and after use, casually being put inside either pants or inside pocket. And let's be honest, that is exactly how candid filming should be. We are talking about the popular Flip HD camcorders that are greatly contributing to the immense growth of YouTube, thanks to the uploading of HD videos. Kodak is also quite successful with its Zi8 camcorder. However, Flip, an unknown player in the field of camcorders, was the first to present a Flip WiFi HD camcorder pretty much out of nowhere, or so it seemed!

Flip WiFi HD camcorder with Cisco network technology
And this could very well prove to be a smasher! Since the overtake of Flip by Cisco this year, for some 600 million dollars, hard work has gone into integrating Cisco's network technology in a Flip camcorder. The Flip Wi-Fi HD camcorder is likely to be introduced in the first half of 2010. We are hoping for a fast introduction during the upcoming CES in January 2010, however, this date is probably a bit premature.

There is little information at hand when it comes to the specifications of the WiFi Flip camcorder, although one of our sources reports that the new Flip camcorder will be equipped with a large expandable display (slider?), which hides the record and menu buttons. It is not likely to be a touch screen display, nor will it be an OLED one. Perhaps this is related to wanting to keep the costs as low as possible, so that the masses also continue to be attracted to the Wi-Fi Flip camcorder because of its price-tag. A WiFi Flip ... we'd certainly go for it!
