SamsungSamsung hybrid camera features unveiled : The specifications of the Samsung NX10 hybrid camera are starting to pop up. Shown for the first time during the PMA 2009 in Las Vegas at the beginning of this year, the news about a new Samsung hybrid camera became more real in the form of a Samsung camera mock-up. As the year went on, the name of the hybrid camera was revealed; Samsung NX10. At this moment, there is still no official release date, however, new information indicates / speaks of Thursday 10 December 2009. The Samsung NX10 is a new camera system based on a DX-format image sensor and a newly developed mount. The Samsung NX mount will feature a focal length multiplier of 1.5x.

The sensor used on the Samsung NX10 camera is a 23.4x15.6mm APS-C 14.6 Megapixels CMOS sensor. Thanks to this, the NX10 completely outstrips competing system cameras such as the Panasonic Lumix GF1 and Olympus PEN E-P1. New information now gives away more details of the Samsung NX10 specifications. The Samsung Hybrid camera is said to feature a built-in optical image stabilizer and uses a so-called DRIM image processor. Although we suspect it to be a DRIM II version, since the current DRIM processor has already been used in Samsung's NV- and WB-series cameras for quite a while now.
