New Ricoh System camera to be announced soon! : We have received information from various sources about an upcoming introduction of a new Ricoh system camera. The new Ricoh system camera has presumably been developed based on a digital camera without built-in mirror. This system has become very popular lately, thanks to the introduction of the Panasonic Micro Four Thirds system cameras, among others. Whether Ricoh is actually launching a so-called mirror-less system camera is yet to be seen, although early reports mention a possible release in November. The Ricoh system camera will most likely be equipped with an APS-C image sensor, similar to the Samsung NX10, which first appeared in the news at PMA 2009.

New Ricoh system camera?
It's is not yet clear which mount Ricoh will come to use for the new digital system camera. There is talk of a Pentax K-mount or a new micro K-mount. The latter will come with an adapter to provide access to a broad selection of Pentax lenses. Ricoh is a camera manufacturer that needs to apply unique characteristics such as we saw earlier in the Ricoh GR Digital camera series, to make things happen for them. From this viewpoint, a new Ricoh system camera is very well possible. We will bring you the updates regarding the new Ricoh system camera as they become available.
