HTCHTC Hero test at LetsGoMobile : Besides the fact that HTC is the current market leader when it comes to Windows Mobile smartphones, HTC is also the first phone manufacturer to realize the full potential of the Google Android operating system. HTC Hero review - Smartphone menu
LetsGoMobile says: "We were already familiar with the Android operating system, however, the HTC Sense user interface looks just a tad different again. Eight start screens are available, which cannot only be filled by shortcuts and Android Widgets, but also with HTC Widgets. By default, there are several Scenes which can be used for personalizing start screens using their own Widgets and backgrounds. This allows you to create a private and a business environment. Particularly the operation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the bookmarks and the images are graphically beautifully displayed by the HTC Sense interface."

Camera phone review

HTC Hero camera phone review
LetsGoMobile continues: "The HTC Hero features a 5.0 megapixel digital camera. Thanks to the large screen, it was nice shooting with this mobile phone. Unfortunately, also this HTC phone lacks a dedicated camera button to capture a picture. You have to use the trackball at all times to be able to take a picture. This is not very convenient, and it certainly doesn't help to keep camera shake under control. The digital camera application can be activated by pressing 'camera' in the menu. You can opt to place a shortcut in every desired spot on one of the start screens, enabling quick access to the application."
