Canon IXUS 200 IS camera review : Canon aptly participates in the Megapixel race with the IXUS 200 IS. The small compact cameras already feature an extremely tiny image sensor, and to apply it with no less than 12 million pixels seems to be a contradiction. However, not as far as marketing is concerned; they seem all too happy to see high resolution figures pass by. Still, Canon is showing slight traces of change, although this does not (yet) apply to the Canon Digital IXUS 200 IS camera, but, who knows? Perhaps the next generation of IXUS cameras will await the same fate. • Read our full Canon camera review.

Canon camera reviews : Digital IXUS 200IS
When you decide to go for a Canon IXUS camera, it is undoubtedly the striking design you fell for. It is remarkable that Canon always succeeds in restyling this kind of design. Sometimes it's only minor differences which are found between the different generation IXUS cameras, but it is exactly this subtlety that makes Canon stand out from the crowd. Striking color tones, a stylish finish and the material used may all be considered main features of a Canon Digital IXUS camera.
IXUS camera reviews : Canon 200IS operation
The operation of a compact camera, actually this applies to all digital cameras, must in the first place be simple. In fact, you should be able to make the first picture without having to read the manual. Recognizable icons, clearly legible, and above all simple actions, determine a camera's ease of use. And now a touchscreen monitor is introduced. I must admit I had my doubts about it when the Canon Digital IXUS 200 IS was first introduced, especially considering the fact that there is often a world of difference between one touchscreen and the next. Using the screen in practice should give a final verdict.
Canon camera review
The Canon Digital 200 IS camera is a designer camera aimed at the photographer who chooses convenience. So don't expect to find extensive settings such as aperture or shutter speed. On the other hand; the camera does provide many handy automated modes, including a large amount of scenes, face detection and 720p video recording. The Canon Digital IXUS 200 IS camera has been in our possession for a short period of time. Our findings can be read in the following Canon IXUS 200 IS review. |
