LG Viewty Smart review - Digital camera
LetsGoMobile adds: "The expectations of the digital camera function of the Viewty Smart are extra high, since LG focuses primarily on this function. After activation, a strip becomes visible on the right side, where you can switch between taking still images and the camcorder, among other things. Upon touching the screen, even more shortcuts appear for the photographic settings of the camera. LG stands out from the masses by its Intelligent Shot mode (IS-mode). This functionality allows the phone to select the best setting in any situation, which is displayed graphically at the bottom of the screen. In practice, using this mode proves somewhat disappointing; it looks good, but it takes twice as long before a picture is actually captured in this mode."

LG Viewty Smart test - Internet browser
LetsGoMobile continues: "The LG Viewty Smart has a fairly decent Internet browser. The keypad on the touchscreen serves for entering a web address. By tilting the phone, a full QWERTY keyboard becomes available, which is easy to use after a bit of practice. This can also be used for SMS and e-mail. Thanks to HSDPA and Wi-Fi support, all connection options are present. If Wi-Fi is selected, the handset will search for available wireless networks as soon as the browser starts. This comes in very useful if your Viewty Smart came without data bundle; this way, you will not face unexpected expenses."

The LG Viewty Smart is the successor to the LG Viewty, which was introduced about two years ago. Besides the upgrade from 5.0 to 8.0 megapixels and a completely new operation system, this new LG camera phone features a built-in GPS antenna, FM radio, HSDPA and Wi-Fi support. Furthermore, the touchscreen monitor no longer requires a stylus pen and is now easier to operate. Read the full LG Viewty Smart review at LetsGoMobile.
