 Olympus Mju 9000 test photo's : Compact megazoom cameras are continuing to grow in popularity. This is understandable, while their compact size and large optical zoom seems to be the perfect combination for all-round shooting. Panasonic has been successful for quite a while now with its TZ series cameras, while there has not been any form of response from the competition. The Mju 9000 from Olympus is the first camera willing to take on the challenge. The Olympus Mju 9000 is a 12 Megapixel digital camera that has a wide 10x optical zoom (28-280mm 35mm equivalent). The camera's dimensions are pleasantly compact, making it an ideal digital camera to carry freely with you inside your trouser pocket or handbag.

The compact Olympus Mju 9000 digital camera features Dual Image Stabilization, Shadow Adjustment technology and Face Detection technology, among many other functions. The Olympus Mju 9000 features a stunning 2.7 inch HyperCrystal III LCD, making it simple to read the information on the screen even from awkward angles. The Dual Image Stabilization reduces blur caused by camera shake, by using a mechanical stabilizer and higher ISO values to ensure faster shutter speeds. The optical zoom lens has been developed specifically to fit in a compact camera body.

The xD Picture Card is supported to store pictures and videos on the Olympus Mju 9000, and is available up to 2GB. The Olympus Mju camera also allows for panorama pictures. The photos are either combined in-camera or afterwards with the aid of Olympus Master 2 software. The Olympus Mju 9000 digital camera includes a variety of convenient integrated image editing programs, among which the new Beauty mode that smoothes out imperfections in the subject’s skin as the photo is taken, to ensure an optimal result.
