PentaxPentax K-7 picture gallery : During my stay in Las Vegas, where I attended the PMA 2009 Imaging Convention and Trade show, there was already talk behind closed doors of a shortly expected Pentax digital SLR camera. The first information we gathered sounded promising, yet it was too early (February 2009) to reveal the news. Internet rumors kept growing however, and three months later, the Pentax K-7 DSLR was finally officially introduced. A DSLR camera from the middle-segment, yet a camera with refined features. The Pentax K7 is a typical SLR for the demanding user. The wealth of advanced functions and user-friendly features in a high- quality housing make the Pentax K-7 a high-end model from the Pentax K-series DSLR cameras.

Pentax K7 Digital SLR camera
Taking the Pentax K7 into your hand makes you aware of the quality of the material Pentax has used for the housing. The camera feels solid and has a sustainable build with a stainless steel chassis and light-weight magnesium alloy housing. The Pentax K7 digital SLR camera distinguishes itself thanks to its dust-free, weather and cold resistant build, guaranteeing the camera works well even in difficult circumstances and in a temperature of less than 10 degrees C. This is made possible by 77 special sealings applied to the housing.

In addition, the Pentax K-7 digital SLR camera has many features to be able to use the camera extensively without having to make any concessions when it comes to photo quality. Features you usually only find in professional DSLR cameras. The CMOS sensor provides a resolution of 14.5 Megapixels, and a newly developed DR (Dust Removal) II system effectively eliminates dust from the pictures. All in all, the K7 is a really exciting Pentax camera to evaluate in an upcoming review.
