Handheld GPS review : Wintec G-Trender WSG-1000
LetsGoMobile adds: "There's more to the Wintec G-Trender WSG-1000 than its name reveals, which can be seen by the prominently placed iF product design Award logo, on the top right hand side of the box. On the side of the device, the main functions are symbolically displayed: satellite, altimeter, navigation, training, compass, astronomy and calendar. Thanks to the transparent opening in the front of the box, you don't even have to open it to be able to see the G-Trender."

GPS navigation review - Wintec G-Trender signal power
LetsGoMobile continues: "The Wintec G-Trender WSG-1000 features a GPS IC ATR0625, which will not mean a thing to the majority of consumers, however; this IC baseband enables the connection to a maximum of 16 satellites. When travelling by bike and by foot, there is a permanent signal, both in city as well as in forested environments. The Wintec GPS receiver has more trouble to keeping up when travelling by car. During two 2 hour trips by car, there were large intervals in the signal. At high speeds, the Wintec GPS receiver is simply not usable. Question is whether you want to use it in these situations."
