OlympusOlympus E-450 photo gallery : Succeeding the introduction of the Olympus E-620, the new FourThirds DSLR entry level camera is launched. Olympus is working at full speed, and thanks to the availability of the new Olympus E-450, the assortment has grown into a beautiful series of digital SLR cameras. The Olympus E-450 is the most compact DSLR model of the Olympus stable, and is a serious contender for the title: "Most compact DSLR in the world". Despite Olympus targeting the low-end of the SLR market, the Olympus E-450 still features a wealth of handy functions. A good example is the Supersonic Wave Filter, designed by Olympus, which is an anti-dust system that effectively deals with the damaging results of dust.

The 10 Megapixel resolution provides high quality, detailed pictures, and thanks to the integration of the TruePic III processor, the user can be certain that image processing is carried out fast. It is even possible to shoot action pictures with this camera at a speed of 3.5fps and a buffer size of a maximum of 8 RAW pictures. The portable size and the light weight are perfect to take the camera along at all times. And this is logical; why else would you purchase a DSLR? However, practice tells us that dimensions and weight are in fact often the reason to leave a DSLR camera at home.

The Olympus E-450 is an entry-level digital SLR camera focusing on user's ease and a friendly operation. The E-450 does feature a Live View function, however; the option to capture video clips is not available. Perhaps this function will be integrated in the new Micro Four Thirds camera we are expecting Olympus to come out with this summer. The expectations about this new system are sky-high and we are anxiously awaiting the new Olympus system.

The Olympus E-450 sample test photos were taken in Amsterdam’s Artis zoo, the Netherlands with a full production digital SLR camera which means that this camera is equal to the model that the consumer can expect to purchase. Our DIWA camera test lab will soon test the Olympus E450 camera under laboratory circumstances from a technical viewpoint. The next few weeks we will test the Olympus E-450 DSLR camera in practice and come up with a review soon. To download the original Olympus FourThirds SLR test photos, click on the link below photos.
