It is quite striking to see that the competitors have allowed Panasonic to continue expanding the success of the compact format megazoom camera for such a long time. Why its rivals did not respond for so long remains unknown, however, Panasonic certainly reaped the rewards! The new Panasonic LUMIX TZ7 has not changed much when it comes to the concept. Panasonic DMC-TZ7 review - TravelZoom digital camera
The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ7 marks the start of a new generation of TravelZoom cameras. TravelZoom stands for a compact camera with a large zoom range, and it is a segment in which Panasonic does really well. Strangely enough, it took an awfully long time before the competition started to respond. This worked well for Panasonic, and the market share certainly did not suffer! This year, many of Panasonic’s rivals have joined the competition, however, even now Panasonic is still able to stand out from the crowd. The compact size has remained; in fact, it has become even smaller, but it is the 12x optical zoom lens that is truly unique. It is the combination of the small housing bearing this type of zoom range that makes the Panasonic LUMIX TZ7 stand out.
Panasonic TZ7 test - Photographing with ease
A camera with a compact format and a large zoom range like the Panasonic LUMIX TZ7 certainly serves ease. The ease of carrying it along and shooting subjects from either large or close-up distances without having to put any effort in at all, appeals to a large part of 'photographers'. And why not? It is a different way of shooting, but that does not make it less interesting. The Panasonic TZ7 is a camera packed with handy features that aim at the easy-going photographer who wants to be able to make the best quality picture or video clip with the least possible effort.

The Panasonic LUMIX TZ7 is a strikingly enhanced multimedia megazoom camera that is able to stand out from the crowd thanks to its innovative and highly technical functions. Time to thoroughly test the Panasonic TZ7 in practice, whilst keeping a critical eye open.
