OlympusOlympus SP-590 UZ photo gallery : Olympus started the year bubbling with enthusiasm. In the first few weeks of January, a whole new range of compact cameras was introduced, among which is the new Olympus Megazoom: the Olympus SP-590 UZ. The Olympus Ultra Zoom cameras have been around for a few generations now, and there is always another striking feature justifying the launch of a new camera. The large zoom range is the most outstanding feature on the new Olympus SP-590. It's a lens with no less than 26x zoom, equivalent to a range of 26-676 mm. This is unsurpassed and a new record for optical zoom range. This type of range is one of the main features of a Megazoom camera. The segment is under pressure when it comes to sales prices.

The digital SLR camera may be priced quite reasonably, but cannot keep up with the standard zoom range of a megazoom camera like the Olympus SP590 UZ. This Megazoom camera allows for relaxed shooting. You don't have to go through much trouble to capture a subject from a very large distance. Additionally, the Olympus SP-590 UZ digital camera is supported by dual Image Stabilization. Furthermore, continuous capture speed of 10fps ensures capturing exciting action photo moments without a problem.

Once you really get going, and want to expand the zoom range of the Olympus SP590 UZ, you can do so through the optional Olympus converters. With the optional Olympus TCON-17N telephoto adaptor and the Olympus CLA-11 adaptor ring, the Olympus SP 590 Ultra Zoom camera provides unheard enlargement possibilities up to 1149mm. Added to this is the 5x digital zoom providing a final multiplying factor of 130x or 3380mm. In addition to the ease of simply point-and-shoot including the choice of 18 shooting programs, the Olympus SP-590 UZ camera offers a full manual control for maximum flexibility. Moreover, the P/S/A/M exposure programs also offer a wealth of creative settings.

The Olympus SP-590 Ultra Zoom test photos were taken in Amsterdam, the Netherlands with a full production camera which means that this camera is equal to the model that the consumer can expect to purchase. Our DIWA camera test lab will soon test the Olympus SP590-UZ camera under laboratory circumstances from a technical viewpoint. The next few weeks we will test the Olympus SP-590 UZ digital camera in practice and come up with a review soon. To download the original Olympus test photos, click on the link below photos.
