 Nikon Coolpix P90 pictures : With the introduction of the Nikon Coolpix P90, the P80 obtained its successor. The Nikon P90 has become the new top model in the extensive range of Nikon Megazoom cameras that we have seen passing by continuously. In spite of the fact the digital SLR camera drops in price every so often, and the market share has been increasing fast, the Megazoom segment remains appealing. Naturally, the compact size in combination with the large optical zoom range is the basis for this success. The technique mostly comes directly from a DSLR and this is also the case for the Nikon P90, for example; the exposure, image processing, and the EXPEED processor. Altogether, it makes the Nikon P90 a powerful combination.

Other specifications of the Nikon Coolpix P90 digital camera are a 24x zoom with wide-angle, a tilting 3.0 inch LCD monitor, vibration reduction, Nikon's EXPEED image processing system and the high sensitivity range, through which the Nikon P90 builds a bridge between compact cameras and digital SLR cameras without having to compromise. In addition to high resolution photography, the Nikon Coolpix P90 is also able to capture videos. High Definition is not yet available, but will be playing a bigger role in the Nikon D90 and future Nikon DSLR cameras.

In addition to full auto mode, the Nikon P90 provides many settings for the creative photographer. Several manual settings are available via the four exposure modes (PSAM) thus enabling flawless all-round digital photography. And thanks to its fast image processing feature, it is also possible to take action pictures with the Nikon Coolpix P90 camera. High-speed continuous shooting up to 45 shots at 15 fps means it is an ideal digital camera for sports photography.

The Nikon Coolpix pictures were taken in Amsterdam, the Netherlands with a full production camera which means that this camera is equal to the model that the consumer can expect to purchase. Our DIWA camera test lab will soon test the Nikon P90 camera under laboratory circumstances from a technical viewpoint.
