SamsungSamsung Pixon review op LetsGoMobile : LetsGoMobile has published a review about the Samsung Pixon camera phone. Nowadays, it seems to have become a trend to launch a new model mobile phone with both a type number and a real name. Just like many other brands, Samsung too gives its new mobile phones a genuine name. The Samsung Pixon naturally refers to the 8 Megapixel integrated digital camera. The mobile phones do not only keep their names but also their type numbers, the full name therefore is Samsung Pixon M8800.

Samsung Pixon review - 8 Megapixel digital camera
LetsGoMobile says: "The main feature of the Samsung Pixon M8800 is of course the integrated 8.0 Megapixel digital camera. The back appears to be a genuine digital camera, also because of the extending lens. While taking a picture, the entire screen serves as a viewfinder. There is hardly any delay and the pictures are very well visible on the screen. Furthermore, there are a number of shortcuts on the screen to change settings. The flash and capture mode are easy to change with one press on the button, and even during shooting these settings can be changed in a swift and easy way."

In addition to many standard settings, the camera also offers face recognition and the smile shot function. While taking a picture, the camera application will recognize a face and you can add a name to it. If you apply face recognition to the captured pictures, and if a picture was previously stored, the name of the person will appear on the pictures. Smileshot works better on the Pixon than on other mobile phones I have used. First, you will see face recognition and next, a frame will appear around the mouth, providing there is a smile, after which the picture is taken instantly

Samsung Pixon review
LetsGoMobile concludes: "The Samsung Pixon looks a bit like the Omnia, although the Pixon is in fact an entirely different phone with Samsung's operating system, and a higher resolution digital camera. The Samsung Pixon M8800 is Samsung's latest cameraphone. The combination of an 8 Megapixel digital camera, a large touchscreen monitor, HSDPA and a neat appearance, certainly creates great expectations. Whether the Samsung Pixon is able to actually live up to these expectations, can be read in the full Samsung Pixon review at LetsGoMobile.
