Fujifilm 3D digital camera showcased at PMA 2009 Show : Fujifilm took a prototype of a 3D camera along to the PMA show 2009 in Las Vegas. In addition to a pair of concept 3D cameras we saw before at the Photokina 2008, a plastic bold; unfortunately with annoying reflection, held a new prototype 3D camera. Perhaps already a functioning model, since the LEDs of the camera were shown activated. The Fujifilm 3D imaging concept is a full system of a digital camera, printer and display, and is a very interesting branch of photography. However, even now, I can't imagine it becoming a product for the masses, but it certainly seems to become a nice accessory.

If you look at the final 3D product on paper, I can't help but feel that we've seen it all before, many years ago. I mean; it's all very beautiful but simply not surprising enough. I see more possibilities in 3D photographing and displaying via an LCD, large as well as small sizes. Paper is no longer the prime medium for the consumer in order to make a captured moment come to life again. I think television, or rather LCD, meets the needs of the digital consumer in a better way.
