 Casio EXILIM FH20 test photo gallery : The Casio EXILIM FH20 continues the first generation High Speed EXILIM cameras of Casio. The Casio Pro EX-F1 was the first digital camera able to shoot an impressive amount of pictures at the dazzling speed of 1200fps. This was unprecedented and it made the Casio EXILIM F1 an instant hit for photographers that were YouTube fans at the same time. A variety of Hi-speed demos circulate on the Net. The Casio EXILIM FH20 has to settle for slightly less, yet still offers a respectable speed of 1000fps. The resolution of the Casio EX-FH20 megazoom camera has increased from 6 to 9 Megapixels, serving the Megapixel enthusiast. Moreover, the price of the Casio FH20 megazoom camera has also dropped.

The Casio EXILIM FH20 features a 20x optical zoom lens which is the equivalent of 26-520 mm of a 35mm camera. The Casio FH20 distinguishes itself from its rivals by its integrated Hi-Speed mode. Whereas the competition offers marginal options of one or two different continuous speed modes, the Casio EXILIM EX-FH20 offers many more. Not only can you adjust the Burst rate at different resolutions; you can also select enhanced speeds in video mode.

While testing, we focused mainly on the picture quality. In my opinion, the Hi-speed video mode appeals only to an exclusive group of photographers and videographers. Besides that, the resolution of 224x56 pixels at 1000fps is too low to consider it a widely accepted final quality. However, we are aware of its potential and perhaps it’s only a matter of time before this functionality becomes available for a broader and more useful employ. Casio has recently launched a new line of Hi-speed compact cameras in addition to the current two cameras which target the hobby photographer.

The Casio EXILIM EX-FH20 sample photos were taken with a full production camera which means that this camera is equal to the model that the consumer can expect to purchase. Our DIWA test lab will soon test the Casio EXILIM FH20 megazoom camera under laboratory circumstances from a technical viewpoint.
