SamsungSamsung Tocco Ultra Edition Handset : The world’s first full touch phone with slide-out 3x4 keypad! Samsung Electronics, unveiled its flagship handset for 2009, the Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition. Following on from Samsung’s successes in 2008, which saw the Mobile division take the number 1 spot in United Kingdom mobile phone sales, the Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition phone is set to engage new audiences and reinforce Samsung’s leadership in the Touch, Style and Slide categories. The Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition builds on the great success and momentum created by Tocco; the UK’s best selling contract mobile phone in the second half of 2008.

The Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition is the world’s first handset to combine an easy to use, visually stunning, full touch screen with the everyday familiarity and convenience of a 3x4 keypad to deliver a new user experience that fits with the way people want to use their mobile phone. The Tocco Ultra Edition draws on Samsung’s long heritage as a leading creator of slider phones, and is the latest device in The Ultra Edition range which was introduced in 2006. The device also incorporates the company’s recent developments and successes in the touch screen market with devices such as its predecessor, the Samsung Tocco, Samsung Omnia and Samsung Pixon.

Samsung AMOLED phone display
The full-touch and slide keypad is complemented by a vivid 2.8”, Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) full touch screen, which offers astonishingly bright, clear and brilliant colours, housed in an ultra-slim 12.7mm body. Enhanced Haptic touch technology creates an outstanding user experience on screen, and the enhanced AMOLED display means that you can watch movies and view photos with better contrast, higher definition and deeper blacks.
