LetsGoDigital wishes her readers a Happy New Year : Another year has passed. A year in which a lot has changed within the digital imaging industry, whilst at the same time, a lot has also remained the same. Stronger than ever before, the trend of popularity of the digital SLR is both noticeable and measurable, with significant price changes within the amateur as well as the professional segment. Developments took place to bring the DSLR camera even closer within reach of the consumer, and also other developments that speeded up the innovations. We are looking forward to a year with many interesting developments. For example, the Micro FourThirds system of Panasonic and Olympus. As a base, this system can lead to beautifully compact housings with equally beautiful lenses.

 Photography shows in 2009
The first quarter of 2009 will be the quarter of large amounts of introductions. Whether the strategy is carried out and everything that was planned is actually introduced, remains to be seen. Rumor has it, that the influence of the worldwide economical crisis will jam the break for certain product launches. However, the upcoming CES 2009, Mobile World Congress and later on in the first quarter, the PMA 2009 will bring plenty of news in the field of digital photography, camcorders, mobile telephony, software and so on.

Mobile telephony in 2009
We also have to mention telephony, while the popularity of mobile photography is growing considerably. Naturally, there is (still) a clear difference between today's digital compact camera and a cameraphone, however, fact is that mobile photography increases, a development we will closely follow through LetsGoMobile. We like to end the year with a wish-list; a list that contains various projects to inform you as reader; faster, more extensively and more thoroughly on the last developments in the world of photography and mobile communication.
A Healthy and Happy New Year!
A year of hard work and many long hours is finished. All there is to do now is to wish you a happy New Years Eve on behalf of all the co-workers of LetsGoDigital and LetsGoMobile, and a successful and healthy 2009! We will get back to you in the new year and we will prepare for the coming season. All of our best wishes for a happy New Year!
