 Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD photo gallery : In august of this year, Fujifilm introduced a new Megazoom camera; the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD. A 10 Megapixel camera featuring a 15x optical zoom lens, and Fujifilm’s first model that supports High Definition. Zoom range starts at 28mm, delivering an effective wide angle for both landscape pictures and group pictures. The Fujifilm S2000HD has a rather sturdy build yet a light weight, although not sufficiently compact to carry with you in your inner pocket or trouser pocket. Fujifilm depends on its Megazoom cameras, since their assortment lacks an entry-level digital SLR camera. The FinePix S2000HD does not surprise and is a logical continuation of Fujifilm’s series of Megazoom cameras.

Capturing High Definition video (1280x720 pixels) and wide screen pictures, as well as the HD output of the FinePix S2000HD, enables playing high quality pictures and movies on a HD LCD or Plasma screen. In addition, the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD is able to take action pictures at a continuous speed of 13.5 frames per second. Although the resolution is then reduced to 3 Megapixels, it is still the ideal function to capture playing children, sports activities etc.

Even though the Fujifilm FinePix S200HD digital camera has a compact size, the camera features a 15x optical zoom delivering a range of 28-414mm (equivalent of a 35mm camera). This is where the image stabilization support comes in handy. The Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD camera offers so-called dual-stabilization, which is a combination of a mechanically stabilized CCD sensor and high ISO values.

The Fujifilm S2000HD sample photos were taken with a full production camera which means that this camera is equal to the model that the consumer can expect to purchase. Our DIWA test lab has already fully tested the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD under laboratory circumstances from a technical viewpoint. The next few days we will test the S2000HD in practice and come up with a review soon. The Fujifilm S2000HD sample photos are taken in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
