Panasonic Lumix FZ28 review : One year after reviewing the LUMIX FZ18, we now turn to the Panasonic LUMIX FZ28. The Panasonic FZ28 Megazoom remains compact yet offers a huge zoom range of 18x. The resolution has increased from 8 to 10 Megapixels, and the range reaches a fraction wider angle (27 mm) and a bit less telephoto (486 mm). Besides that, the resolution of the video mode has increased to 1280x720 pixels and pictures can be viewed on a slightly larger 2.7 inch LCD monitor. Marginal differences, however, reason enough for Panasonic to introduce the LUMIX FZ28 this year.• Read our full Panasonic Lumix FZ28 review.

Panasonic camera reviews : Lumix DMC-FZ28
When it comes to the design of the Panasonic LUMIX FZ28, it is almost similar to that of its predecessor. Obviously, there is no need or drive to change this design. Also, the dimensions and weight of both cameras are alike, or nearly alike. Even the locations of the buttons have remained untouched. New is the play/record button on the back of the FZ28. A nice addition, although generally known already.
Panasonic Lumix FZ28 test - Operation
The main advantage of a compact Megazoom camera is its operation, that is a near exact copy of a standard compact camera with, of course, the additional possibilities that you would expect to find on an advanced digital camera. When it comes to operation and possibilities, you are well-off with the Panasonic FZ28. Obviously, the camera can be set to the auto mode, and with the aid of the effective MEGA O.I.S. image stabilizer one can shoot away when it comes to taking snapshots. If however, you are enough of a daredevil to take on the challenge, you will go for the numerous possibilities of the S/A/M mode.
Panasonic FZ28 review including a DIWA Labs test
In addition to the enhanced resolution and the large range, the camera features a wealth of setting possibilities, offering the photographer the promise of endless creative shooting. The FZ28 not only offers P/S/A/M mode and full auto mode, but is also further enhanced by integrating the iA (Intelligent Auto mode). The latter is a fairly far-pushed automated function to recognize difficult light circumstances and moreover, an extremely convenient function with which the camera is set fully automatically to achieve optimum exposure. Sufficient ingredients to put our findings in a Panasonic Lumix FZ28 review for you to read.
