Premium VR content available throughout 2017 MLB season : Samsung America and Major League Baseball (MLB) proudly announced a new phase of their partnership to provide fans a premium virtual reality experience, offering access to MLB players, ballparks and key baseball moments throughout the remainder of the 2017 MLB Season. Through the multinational partnership, baseball fans will be able to enjoy a series of over 20 immersive videos exclusively on the Samsung VR app, the brand’s premium virtual reality content service. The 2017 MLB VR series within the Samsung Virtual Reality app will immerse fans into the action with select content experiences, bringing them face to face with some of their favorite players and offering unrivaled views of iconic ballparks.

Samsung will stream live events so people can enjoy virtual reality broadcasts of their favorite action sports and music events through the Gear VR platform. Through these partnerships, Samsung will provide fans with an electrifying new way to experience live entertainment without the need to physically attend the events. C-Lab’s FaceSense demonstrates biometric VR navigation : Virtual reality is fast becoming the next big thing in mobile entertainment, and Samsung Electronics continuously seeks new ways to innovate with VR technologies to make the platform more accessible. At the recent VRLA Expo 2017 in Los Angeles, a group of Samsung engineers introduced one of the latest VR products of these efforts: an experimental, hands-free biometric based virtual reality interface that they call FaceSense. The biometric VR navigation solution is an innovative product of C-Lab (Creative Lab), Samsung’s startup business program that nurtures its employees’ creative ideas to develop the technologies of tomorrow. The Samsung C-Lab project presents a new approach to VR navigation that works just as its name implies: by tracking movement in the user’s face.

In partnership with Samsung America, the official technology partner of Six Flags, the American-based theme park is once again leading the way in innovation and taking its signature brand of thrills to the next level mixed virtual reality experience on the park’s iconic steel coaster, Mind Eraser. When guests board the VR coaster and have installed their Samsung Virtual Reality headsets, they will be introduced to the device’s pass-through camera functionality, instantly making riders aware of their surroundings, by allowing them to see the real world, including the person seated next to them- along with virtual reality content.

The world famous roller coaster celebrates its 20th birthday in 2017, time for the launch of Six Flags Galactic Attack Virtual Reality roller coaster. The Six Flags 2017 VR ride is being installed with brand new restraints for a comfortable and perfect ride experience. The Virtual Reality ride will premier to season pass holders on April 8 and 9 followed by its grand opening to the mainstream public on Monday, April 10.
