Samsung Premier Cinema LED display : Back in March Samsung introduced world's first Cinema LED display, stretching nearly 10.3m (33.8ft). Four months later the South Korean manufacturer installed its HDR LED theater display in the Lotte Cinema World Tower in Korea, as its commercial debut. During the introduction, Samsung didn't really name is Cinema LED screen, it was just called 'Samsung Cinema Screen'. But now that Samsung is ready to put their display on the market, a well thought out name is necessary for sale successes. We just discovered how this huge and bright screen is likely to be called. On the 27th of September the Korean Manufacturer filed a trademark for the name Samsung Premier with the USPTO and the EUIPO.

Philips launches its first 8K monitor : Philips just launched several new monitors. The new line-up of Philips monitors includes a 4K HDR screen, a 32-inch 8K screen and an UltraWide monitor with a curved design. More models have been added to the already expansive range of curved displays, from 27 to 49 inches in size. What is more, the comprehensive curved line-up also features the latest color technologies. Visitors can experience first-hand the increased focus and immersion effect that are possible with these displays - even when surrounded by the noise at a busy tradeshow. The monitors will be exhibited at IFA 2017 in Berlin, Hannover.

Samsung unveils new monitor lineup for professionals : Samsung will showcase three new professional monitors at the IFA 2017 show in Berlin (Germany). The Samsung CH89, CH80 and SH85 feature the USB Type C interface for seamless connectivity, as well as optimized clarity and color presentation at the ultra WQHD (CH89), Full HD (CH80) and WQHD (SH85) resolutions. The new monitors also feature a three-sided, bezel-less design, with the Samsung CH80 and CH89 further amplifying the bezel-less effect through an 1800R curved structure. By streamlining setups that typically required multiple screens and equipment to a single monitor, the compact displays additionally free up coveted workplace space and reduce maintenance.

Samsung 49-inch QLED monitor on display at Gamescom 2017 : Samsung Consumer Division announced it will be present at Gamescom 2017 with the launch of the Samsung CHG90 QLED Gaming Monitor, the world’s largest monitor for extreme gamers that delivers an IMAX-style cinematic viewing experience. Gamescom 2017 is the largest annual gathering of computer and video game industry’s media, developers, retailers and companies serving the gaming market, taking place August 22-26 at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. Samsung created new industry standard in phone displays : Not only does the Galaxy S8’s Infinity Screen play offer an immersive viewing experience but its new 18.5:9 screen ratio makes for a cinematic one, as well. While TV shows, movies and video content of the recent past have generally been produced in a 16:9 aspect ratio, video providers of today and tomorrow are beginning to embrace widescreen ratios of up to 21:9. When watched in landscape mode, 21:9 movies fill the Galaxy S8’s 18.5:9 display, while the black bars above and below the picture are minimized, increasing the viewing area by 36 percent, compared to the Galaxy S7.
