Philips monitor with popup webcam : With hackers becoming ever more inventive - and with awareness growing of potential risk exposure through webcams - MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, is rolling out the first Philips display with a webcam that pops up when needed, and is otherwise hidden in the display frame. The new 27-inch display, due for release in August, combines this extra security with excellent display performance: Crystal-clear images with Quad HD resolution, the extra-wide viewing angles of IPS panel technology, super-speed USB 3.0 for faster data transfer, as well as Power Sensor technology. Further monitors with a popup webcam will follow later this year, e.g. in 24-inch or with UHD resolution.
