Toshiba 16 Megapixel image sensor for smartphones & tablets : The world’s smallest class 16 megapixel chip also offers low power consumption. Toshiba Corporation announced the launch of “T4KC3”, a 16 megapixel (MP) BSI CMOS image sensor. Sample shipments are scheduled to start in September this year. In the mobile device market, manufacturers constantly target a small form factor; a thinner final product. Toshiba is meeting this need with a design method, already deployed in current products, that realizes smaller CMOS sensor chips and low-power circuits. That method has now resulted in the world’s smallest class 16MP chip, which also realizes 30fps at full-resolution output with power consumption of 240mW or lower.

Toshiba Corporation announced the launch of "TJM35420LT", the industry’s first TransferJet adapter for Apple devices such as the iPhone, iPad and iPod that is compliant with TransferJet wireless transfer technology. Sales of the portable wirless adapter by mass marketers and online stores are scheduled to start from spring 2015 in Japan, followed by Europe, the Americas and Asia. The new Toshiba TransferJet adapter has been on display at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (Las Vegas, Nevada).

Toshiba Semiconductor & Storage Products Company announced the launch of the world’s first SDHC memory card with built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) functions. The Toshiba SDHC memory cards with NFC support are available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities. The new NFC memory cards has been on display at 2015 International CES, in Las Vegas. In order to find out what is stored inside Secure Digital memory cards, you usually need to put them into digital cameras, tablets and Personal Computers.
