Panasonic and Leica expand partnership agreement : Panasonic and Leica Camera announced they have extended their partnership agreement and agreed to expand and strengthen their technological cooperation in the digital camera field. The agreement includes the extension of license agreement for use of Leica's trademark on Panasonic’s digital cameras as well as expansion and strengthening of technological cooperation between the companies. Panasonic will be able to commercialize digital cameras with Leica lenses over the next five years, while Leica will be able through the expansion and strengthening of technological cooperation to utilize Panasonic's digital technology in its own product development.

Canon Clean Earth Crew beautifies Lakeland County Park : Canon U.S.A. celebrated the Company's Clean Earth Crew Campaign at Lakeland County Park. Approximately 150 Canon employees, family members and friends volunteered to revamp the park, which is fully accessible and designed for the disabled and their families. Participants painted picnic tables, benches and boardwalk rails; placed mulch and woodchips around the entrance signs, gazebo and trees; washed the playground area and planted new flowers throughout the park. Growing awareness of the importance of sustainability has motivated many employees to take part in the Canon Clean Earth Crew events, in which employees, family members and friends work together to clean up parks, beaches and other public areas near Canon’s office locations.

Samsung extends Olympic Games partnership through 2020 : The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Samsung Electronics, the Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Wireless Communications Equipment category, announced it has signed an agreement to extend their partnership through to the 2020 Olympic Games. The signing ceremony took place on August 17th in Nanjing, China, the host city of the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games. IOC President Thomas Bach and Jay Y. Canon supports Center for Missing & Exploited Children : Canon U.S.A hosted the Company's annual Promotional Night at Yankee Stadium on July 1 with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and the New York Yankees. During a pre-game ceremony before the Yankees' game against Tampa Bay, Ana Tavares, vice president, Finance & Accounting, Canon U.S.A., presented John Walsh, co-founder of NCMEC and John Arnos, NCMEC advisor, with a check in the amount of $508,213, representing the cumulative total of monetary and product donations Canon assisted in raising in 2014. As part of the celebration, the first 18,000 fans that entered the stadium received a Canon and Yankees branded baseball cap.
