Toshiba MQ01ABFH hybrid drive series : Toshiba announced the launch of the slim, 7mm high MQ01ABFH hybrid drive) series. Equipped with Toshiba's NAND flash memory and available in 500GB and 320GB capacities, the MQ01ABFH series is the Toshiba's first 7mm hybrid drive family. In combination with the previously announced 1TB and 750GB MQ01ABDH series 9.5mm models, these drives offer customers a wider selection of 2.5-inch hybrid drives. Their thin 7mm design is ideal for ultra-thin light notebook PCs. Drawing on its experience in NAND flash, Toshiba has optimized the NAND flash performance into a tiered-storage approach that uses the speed of the DRAM and NAND components with high-capacity rotating media.

Toshiba CompactFlash memory cards for SLR cameras : Toshiba Corporation announced that its new line of high performance CompactFlash (CF) memory cards, the EXCERIA PRO series, on sale in the Japanese market. Sales will also follow in Asia, Europe and North America. The initial line-up of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB Toshiba memory cards offers the world's highest level read and write speeds and complies with the new Video Performance Guarantee Profile 2 (VPG-65) standard. The EXCERIA PRO CF memory cards integrate Toshiba's high performance NAND flash memory and specially developed dedicated firmware. The Toshiba memory cards achieve a read speed of 160MB/s and write speed of 150MB/s4, the highest level yet reported.
