Sony NEX-6 review : Sony NEX cameras are compact, mirrorless hybrid cameras with an interchangeable lens. The Sony NEX-6 is one of those compact cameras that deliver DSLR-quality images, thanks to the large APS-C sensor with 16.1 megapixels. The OLED viewfinder and the old, trusted operation buttons are very similar to a Sony DSLR camera, only more compact. Additional functions such as the built-in Wi-Fi functionality make it possible to share photos immediately with a smartphone or tablet. Apps can also be downloaded for the Sony NEX-6. Sony NEX-6 test photos : The Sony NEX-6 is a 16 megapixel compact camera with an interchangeable lens. The NEX-6 is meant for advanced photographers that appreciate simple operation. In contrast to other NEX cameras, the NEX-6 is equipped with a mode button, to select the desired shooting modes. Additionally, this mirrorless hybrid camera is equipped with an HD OLED viewfinder and a 99-point facial dectection AF system. Further, the Sony NEX-6 has WiFi functionality, to download apps and to share photos and videos. We tested the Sony NEX-6 in combination with the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 pancake kit lens. Sony NEX 6 test videos : Besides capturing high quality photos, the 16 megapixel Sony NEX 6 can also shoot Full HD videos. The new 16-50mm kit lens with Powered Zoom is ideal for shooting videos. Zooming in and out is precise and fluid. Moreover, the camera can be operated completely automatically as well as manually in the video mode. The Sony NEX 6 is equipped with an advanced autofocus system for fast and accurate focusing. The facial detection AF system has 99 focal points, the contrast detection AF has 25 focal points. We tested the NEX 6`s video funciton in practice, some of the Sony NEX 6 test video shots are found below.
