Samsung Galaxy Camera gets UL certification : Samsung Telecommunications America, LLC (Samsung Mobile) has been awarded platinum certification by UL Environment, a business unit of UL (Underwriters Laboratories), for its Samsung Galaxy Camera. The certification is based on UL 2810, sustainability requirements for digital cameras. The Samsung Galaxy Camera is the first digital camera to receive such a certification and is considered the highest environmental ranking based on UL Environment’s certification requirements. To achieve certification, a mobile device must earn at least 60 of the available points (score of 55%). Devices earning 80 points (score of 73%) or more are eligible to receive platinum level certification.

Best Buy to offer Samsung mobile products and accessories : Samsung Electronics announced a unique relationship with Best Buy, the world’s largest consumer electronics retailer, centered on retail innovation for customers to explore, purchase, activate and service the broadest portfolio of Samsung mobile products and accessories. The Samsung Experience Shop will be installed in more than 1,400 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores across the U.S. beginning this month. By early May, 900 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores will feature the Samsung Experience Shop, with the remainder launching by early summer.
