Samsung Galaxy Camera gets UL certification : Samsung Telecommunications America, LLC (Samsung Mobile) has been awarded platinum certification by UL Environment, a business unit of UL (Underwriters Laboratories), for its Samsung Galaxy Camera. The certification is based on UL 2810, sustainability requirements for digital cameras. The Samsung Galaxy Camera is the first digital camera to receive such a certification and is considered the highest environmental ranking based on UL Environment’s certification requirements. To achieve certification, a mobile device must earn at least 60 of the available points (score of 55%). Devices earning 80 points (score of 73%) or more are eligible to receive platinum level certification.

Samsung NX2000 Smart Wi-Fi camera : Samsung Electronics has launched a new addition to its popular 2013 camera line-up. The Samsung system camera features a powerful 20.3 Megepixel APS-C CMOS image sensor and a large 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display. Enhanced Wi-Fi Connectivity is at the heart of the NX2000, enabled by Samsung's Smart Camera 2.0 technology, offering a host of functions which make it easy to share and store pictures directly from the digital camera. Users can take photos of fast-moving subjects, such as a child running with Action Freeze or capture everyone’s 'good side' with Best Face which takes five consecutive photos and lets the user select the best facial expression of each person in the picture.

Samsung Smart cameras available for retail : Samsung America announced the availability of the first two models in the Smart Camera 2.0 line-up. The new Samsung WB250F long-zoom model and the Samsung DV150F Smart camera with the popular DualView form factor - which both offer sophisticated WiFi connectivity for photo sharing, backup and an extensive range of other features - are available now at retailers across the country.
