Sigma lenses awarded by TIPA

Sigma 35mm and 17-70mm lenses awarded by TIPA : Sigma is pleased to announce that the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) has honoured Sigma’s 17-70 F2.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM Contemporary and 35 F1.4 DG HSM Art lenses with its Best Entry Level DSLR Lens and Best Expert DSLR Lens awards, respectively. Each year, TIPA editors vote for the best photography and imaging products introduced to the market during the past year. According to TIPA, the editors consider the use of leading-edge technology, design and ergonomics, ease-of-use and the price/performance ratio while making their decisions. Both Sigma lenses are currently available in Sigma, Nikon and Canon mounts.

Sigma 60mm F2.8 DN price & availability announced : Sigma Corporation of America, manufacturer of some of the world’s most impressive lines of lenses, cameras and flashes, announce that its new 60mm F2.8 DN Art lens for mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras (MILCs) will hit shelves in the United States mid-May. First revealed at the CP+ Camera and Photo Imaging Show in Japan earlier this year, the 60mm F2.8 is a new focal length in the Sigma lineup for both Micro Four Thirds and Sony E-Mount camera systems. It joins Sigma’s other DN lenses for MILCs: the 19mm F2.8 DN and the 30mm F2.8 DN. The Sigma 60mm F2.8 DN price has been set at $239 USD.

Price and availability of the Sigma lenses : Sigma announced the pricing and availability of three new lenses from its ART lens category, including two lenses for mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras and one lens for DSLR cameras with APS-C size sensors. All three Sigma lenses are existing focal lengths that have been redesigned and quality-control tested with Sigma’s proprietary modulation transfer function “A1” measuring system as part of Sigma’s new Global Vision category restructuring. The original 30mm F1.4 from Sigma helped the family-owned manufacturer pioneer the large-aperture, APS-C format, standard lens category in 2005. Now, the Sigma lenses boast new optical configurations and an optimized focusing systems.

New Sigma lenses introduced at CP+ Camera Show : Sigma Corporation of America introduced four new digital camera lenses for the ART product line. The new Sigma lenses consist of three camera lenses for mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras and one lens for digital SLR cameras with an APS-C size sensor. This announcement comes at the start of the CP+ Camera and Photo Imaging Show 2013 in Yokohama, Japan. The new and improved Sigma lenses include the 30mm F1.4 DC HSM, which will be available in Sigma, Canon and Nikon digital camera mounts, and the 30mm F2.8 DN, 19mm F2.8 DN and 60mm F2.8 DN lenses, which are available for both Micro Four Thirds and Sony E-Mount camera systems.
