 Pentax 15mm lens and converter at Photokina 2008 : Hoya Corporation Pentax Imaging Systems Division is pleased to announce that it will exhibit an interchangeable lens and an accessory at Photokina 2008. Both items are currently under development for use with Pentax digital SLR cameras. Photokina is one of the world’s largest photo and imaging merchandise fairs, and will be held this year from September 23 to 28 in Cologne, Germany.

The smc Pentax-DA 15mm F4ED AL Limited lens belongs to the ultra-wide-angle DA Limited-series lenses of Pentax designed for exclusive use with Pentax digital SLR cameras. It is the fifth model of the acclaimed DA Limited series, developed as part of Pentax’s quest for the ultimate in image-description performance. Scheduled to be marketed in spring 2009.
smc Pentax-DA 1.4X Rear Converter SDM
The smc Pentax-DA 1.4X Rear Converter SDM is the first rear converter equipped for autofocus operation of Pentax digital SLR cameras. The SDM mechanism takes care of an extra-smooth, super-quiet autofocus operation. Marketing date to be announced.
