Sigma 18-250mm macro lens

Mark Peters : 2012-06-15 09:25:00
Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens : Sigma, a manufacturer of some of the world's most impressive lines of lenses, cameras and external flash units, is proud to introduce the availability of the Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens starting in July 2012. The addition of the Sigma 18-250mm macro lens speaks to Sigma’s versatile product line-up with this multipurpose zoom lens that offers Optical Stabilization (Sony and Pentax mounts are not incorporated with OS function) and covers wide angle to telephoto to macro photography. It differs from Sigma’s current 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM lens with its even more compact size, its macro capability with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.9 and the use of Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material currently used only by Sigma.

Sigma 50-150mm telephoto lens now available

Ilse Jurriën : 2012-04-02 10:15:00
Sigma 50-150mm F2.8 APO EX DC OS HSM telephoto lens : Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce that its newly upgraded 50-150mm F2.8 APO EX DC OS HSM telephoto lens is now available for the street price of $1100. The 50-150mm F2.8 APO EX DC OS HSM telephoto lens is the successor to the 50-150mm F2.8 APO EX DC II HSM. The updated telephoto lens now features Sigma’s own proprietary Optical Stabilizer (OS) technology, which offers the use of shutter speeds approximately four stops slower than would otherwise be possible. The lens design of the Sigma 50-150mm APO lens utilizes an inner-focusing and inner-zooming system that provides convenient handling and this, along with the OS feature, makes it favorable for high-performance, handheld, close-up photography.
