Nikon Coolpix S9200 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2012-05-28 11:15:00
Nikon Coolpix S9200 review : Last quarter, Nikon announced a new Superzoom camera. The Nikon Coolpix S9200 is a 16 megapixel digital camera with a very sensitive, backlit CMOS sensor. Thanks to this sensor, the camera receives more light, resulting in improved image quality. Furthermore, the Nikon Coolpix S9200 is equipped with a Nikkor lens with a powerful 18x optical zoom (25-450mm). Such a zoom range without effective vibration reduction is undesirable, and that is why Nikon has equipped the Coolpix S9200 with VR-vibration reduction with lens-shift, which ensures steady shots. We gave the Nikon Coolpix S9200 a test run for quite a while. Our findings can be read in the following Nikon Coolpix S9200 review.

Nikon Coolpix S9200 test photos : The 16 megapixel Nikon Coolpix S9200 is a slim superzoom camera with a Nikkor wide-angle lens. The impressive 18x optical zoom lens produces steady photos and videos thanks to the vibration reduction with lens shift. Further, the Nikon Coolpix S9200 is equipped with a backlit CMOS sensor and an Expeed C2 image processor. Thanks to this combination, the camera delivers clear photos in a great variety of lighting circumstances. For sharp photos, the Nikon Coolpix S9200 uses a fast and accurate 99-point autofocus system. The autofocus is also capable of following subjects, so that you can easily capture children playing in sharp and sensitive shots.

Nikon Coolpix S9200 test videos : Next to taking high resolution photos, the Nikon Coolpix S9200 can also shoot Full HD video with stereo sound. The Nikon Coolpix S9200 shoots high resolution 1920x1080 pixel videos with a frame rate of 30 frames per second. By means of a special video recording button, you can easily start filming. During the video recording you can pause and continue again, after which the camera makes one video file for a fluid reproduction. The powerful 18x optical zoom with autofocus can also be used while shooting video. Additionally, the vibration reduction with lens-shift is also available in video mode, so that camera shake is automatically countered.

Nikon D600

Ilse Jurriën : 2012-05-26 00:02:00
Nikon D600 Full-Frame SLR camera : Rumors are circulating about a new Full-Frame SLR camera from Nikon. After Nikon announced the D4, D800 and the D3200 reflex cameras earlier this year, it seems that a new addition will appear later this year; the Nikon D600. If the speculations are correct, the Nikon D600 will be an entry-level Full-Frame (FX) camera, meaning that the professional photo segment will be expanded at the lower end. If the Nikon D600 DSLR camera really becomes Nikon's cheapest Full-Frame camera, this will undoubtedly have consequences for the less advanced Nikon DX SLR cameras with APS-C sensor. Not to mention about the competition, who will certainly have their plans for a budget full-frame camera as well. Interesting developments…
