Ilse Jurriën : 2012-12-03 14:20:00
Cheap Android smartphone from Samsung : Halfway through 2012 Samsung launched the Galaxy Pocket. A cheap smartphone with a touchscreen display and the Android operating system. Ilse Jurriën : 2012-11-30 08:20:00
Samsung Galaxy S3 Dual SIM leaked in China : The Galaxy Note 2 Dual SIM is already officially announced in China. But it seems that Samsung is also developing a Dual SIM version of the popular Galaxy S3 smartphone in China. The smartphone market in China is characterized by relatively many Dual SIM phones, compared to the number of Dual SIM smartphone we may welcome here in the west part of the world. In the middle of this year Samsung introduced the Galaxy S Duos, apart from that there are no Galaxy smartphone devices in the US and Europe with Dual SIM functionality. It is therefore doubtful that the Samsung Galaxy S3 Dual SIM will ever become available in the west.

Ilse Jurriën : 2012-10-31 13:55:00

New Canon EOS M mirrorless camera : Finally the big day seems to come, also Canon is tacked and comes with its first compact system camera, the Canon EOS M. An advanced digital camera with interchangeable lenses, but smaller than a traditional digital SLR camera, due to the lack of a mirror - that is normally placed between the lens and the sensor in a SLR camera. In recent years we have seen all professional camera manufacturers introducing their own system camera. The PEN series of Olympus, the Lumix G Micro series of Panasonic, the NX series of Samsung, the 1 series of Nikon etc. To date Canon remained silent, but there seems to be real footage of the not yet officially introduced Canon EOS M system camera.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 system camera : Early next week Panasonic will most likely introduce a new portfolio of digital cameras, including the compact Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 system camera. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 features a very compact body, just like its predecessor, the DMC-G3. In comparison, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 has more rounded edges. In addition, the new Panasonic DMC-G5 will be equipped with the same 16 megapixel image sensor as the one year old DMC-G3. There was little speculation that the Panasonic G5 would boost the same sensor as the Olympus E-M5. This sensor offers a better dynamic range. Ilse Jurriën : 2012-06-26 12:50:00
New Apple iPhone 5 defeats Samsung Galaxy S3 : During the annual shareholders meeting of computer parts manufacturer Foxconn, CEO Terry Gou made a remarkable statement. Foxconn, Apple's partner, believes that the Galaxy S3 pales in comparison to the yet to introduce Apple iPhone 5. Terry Gou urges consumers to postpone the purchase of the Galaxy S3, because the new iPhone 5 will bring the latest Samsung smartphone to shame. The Taiwanese company Foxconn has a strong ambition to work together with Apple and to beat Samsung within the upcoming three to five years. Terry Gou has few good words about the Korean Samsung.

Nikon D600

Ilse Jurriën : 2012-05-26 00:02:00
Nikon D600 Full-Frame SLR camera : Rumors are circulating about a new Full-Frame SLR camera from Nikon. After Nikon announced the D4, D800 and the D3200 reflex cameras earlier this year, it seems that a new addition will appear later this year; the Nikon D600. If the speculations are correct, the Nikon D600 will be an entry-level Full-Frame (FX) camera, meaning that the professional photo segment will be expanded at the lower end. If the Nikon D600 DSLR camera really becomes Nikon's cheapest Full-Frame camera, this will undoubtedly have consequences for the less advanced Nikon DX SLR cameras with APS-C sensor. Not to mention about the competition, who will certainly have their plans for a budget full-frame camera as well. Interesting developments…

Ilse Jurriën : 2012-04-25 23:00:00
Samsung Galaxy S3 accessories : Although the Samsung Galaxy S3 is not even officially launched yet, the first accessories already appear on the internet. Accessory manufacturer Kolay already offers three different cases for the new Galaxy S3 on the British Amazon website. Whether the product photos give a real impression of the design of the Galaxy S3 is unknown. It is certain that similar photos already popped up on the internet a while ago, as a mock-up version. Typically, the home-button is no longer present. Personally I believe the true design of the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be very similar to what we see on the pictures. But we will have to wait another week, on May 3 Samsung will officially launch the Galaxy S3 GT-i9500 smartphone and all questions will finally be answered.

Samsung Galaxy Camera trademark filing : In recent years Samsung has achieved outstanding results with its Galaxy multimedia product line-up. In 2009, the Korean manufacturer introduced the Galaxy i7500, the first smartphone from Samsung operating on the Google Android operating system. After a huge sales success Samsung launched a large number of Galaxy smartphones, and that’s not all. Samsung also put several Galaxy tablets and Galaxy multimedia players on the market. All with the Android operating system integrated. In this list of multimedia products we actually miss one category; 'cameras and camcorders'. Let this just be the category Samsung has filed a trademark for. Samsung filed a Samsung Galaxy Camera trademark at the USPTO, the United States patent and trademark office.
