CES 2012 - JVC GY-HMQ10 4K professional camcorder - JVC unveiled at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas the JVC GY-HMQ10, the world's first handheld 4K camcorder, which captures, records, and plays video images at four times the resolution of HD-TV. Powered by the JVC Falconbrid LSI chip for high-speed signal processing and a 1/2-inch CMOS image sensor with 8.3 Megapixels, it delivers real-time 3840x2160 pixel video footage at 24p, 50p, or 60p. The new JVC 4K camcorder will be available in the United States beginning in March, 2012 and carries a retail price of $4,995 USD.
