Toshiba WiFi SDHC card : Toshiba launch the world's first SDHC memory card with embedded wireless LAN functionality to meet the SD memory card standard. The new Toshiba FlashAir card has an 8GB capacity and supports both peer-to-peer transfers and uploads to and downloads from servers. Samples will be available from November 2011, the Toshiba FlashAir WiFi SDHC card sales will start in February 2012.

The Fujifilm SDXC card is the perfect memory card to save large, high definition pictures and also record hours of HD video in formats such as AVCHD, for recording and playback of HD video. The new Fujifilm SDXC card works brilliantly with the latest digital cameras and full HD camcorders that support the new SDXC memory card format. Video files are no longer limited because Fujifilm SDXC memory card uses the new exFAT file format that allows larger file sizes compared with the FAT32 format used in SDHC memory cards.

Toshiba and SanDisk 300mm NAND Flash Memory facility : Toshiba and SanDisk Celebrate the opening of Fab 5 300mm NAND Flash Memory Fabrication Facility in Japan. Consumer demand for Smartphones, Tablets and other consumer electronic devices continues to fuel strong global demand for NAND flash memory. Toshiba began the construction of Fab 5 in July 2010, and the new facility, equipped with manufacturing equipment funded by Toshiba and SanDisk, started volume production in July 2011. Fab 5 currently uses 24 nanometer process technology and its first wafer outs will be in August 2011.
