Panasonic 3D digital camera at IFA 2011 Show : Panasonic has announced the development of a new compact, twin-lens 3D digital camera with HD video recording capability. The Panasonic Lumix 3D digital camera will enable users to take 3D photos and 3D HD video clips and is planned to be released end of 2011. The camera’s compact size was achieved by employing two newly developed 4x zoom lenses with thin, folded optics. The advantages of the twin-lens design are further utilized to snap stunning, full-pixel 2D photos while shooting 2D videos at the same time. The new Panasonic 3D digital camera captures 3D HD videos in the AVCHD format using the side-by-side method.

Thanks to the newly-developed optical engine, which produces an incredible 300,000:1 contrast ratio and 2,000 lumens of brightness, the new Panasonic 3D projector delivers both stunning 2D images and a comfortable and immersive 3D viewing experience at home.

Toshiba Qosmio F755 3D laptop : Toshiba announced U.S. pricing and availability for the Toshiba Qosmio F755 3D laptop, the world’s first 3D laptop capable of displaying glasses free 3D and 2D content at the same time on one screen. Beginning in mid-August, 3D multimedia entertainment enthusiasts will have the opportunity to “ditch the glasses” and enjoy the latest in 3D content while enjoying all the amenities of a premium, high-performance Toshiba laptop. To achieve a 3D viewpoint without the aid of special glasses, the new Tosibiba Qosmio F755 3D laptop uses the latest in auto-stereoscopic display technology. The Toshiba 3D laptop will be available in mid-August and carries a reatil price of $1,700 USD.

Panasonic 3D camcorder joins NASA Space Shuttle Mission : Opening up a new dimension for 3D, Panasonic’s 3D camcorder (Model : AG-3DA1) is headed to space to document the International Space Station on the final mission of the NASA Space Shuttle. This is the ultimate flight of the shuttle Atlantis, its 33rd flight, and the 135th mission of the Space Shuttle Program. Panasonic has provided NASA with some Panasonic 3D camcorders and 25.5” 3D LCD monitors and ruggedized Toughbook laptop computers that have documented the training and preparation leading up to the launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis to the International Space Station.

Samsung 3D TV glasses : Samsung announced the launch of a new website which will allow Samsung to directly fullfill its previously announced free 3D glasses promotion, which offered two pairs of Samsung 3D glasses with all consumer purchases of 2011 model Samsung 3D TVs purchased during the promotion period. For consumers who purchase a 2011 Samsung 3D TV from an authorized Samsung retailer between April 24 and June 25, 2011, and do not otherwise receive 3D glasses from that retailer (either as part of the 3D glasses promotion or as part of a 3D Starter Kit provided by the retailer with select TV models), Samsung will provide 2 pairs of 3D battery glasses to the consumer.
