Olympus PEN E-PL1 review

Dennis Hissink : 2010-04-30 01:34:38
Olympus PEN E-PL1 system camera review : Olympus has a lot of confidence in the Micro Four Thirds System. Within a short time after the introduction of the first digital PEN, Olympus has already introduced two new models. The first one was the more luxurious E-P2, and the second one is a model for the regular consumer, the Olympus E-PL1. At first, the three models seem to resemble each other, but when we compare the camera specifications, the differences between the three become clearer.

Canon 550D review

Mark Peters : 2010-04-04 23:10:00
Canon 550D quick review : Recording with a digital SLR camera is becoming more and more popular. We already know the possibility of recording video clips with a compact camera, but the possibility to do this in a higher quality with a DSLR camera is fairly new. Canon has recently launched the EOS 550D, a DSLR camera with video function. The Canon 550D is an advanced amateur DSLR, but with the same video function as we saw in the semi-professional EOS 7D. Recording in 1080p with 24 bps (or 25 and 30 bps) is easily possible with the Canon EOS 550D. Additionally, you can also simply record in 720p video quality with the Canon 550D digital SLR camera and with variable image speed (50 or 60 bps).

Panasonic DMC-G2 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2010-03-09 23:35:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 review : A year and a half ago, during the Photokina 2008, Panasonic introduced the DMC-G1. It was then the world’s first camera based on the Micro Four Thirds System, which was set up by Panasonic and Olympus. This is a system with a lot of potential, which was evident in its first model, and became even stronger with the introduction of the DMC-GF1 a year later. Although Panasonic together with Olympus have created the Micro Four Thirds System, the products are developed separately. This is evident as there are many differences between the products that the two brands introduce. With the introduction of the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2, this is already a fourth model.

Panasonic DMC-G10 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2010-03-09 23:32:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 review : The Panasonic Lumix G10 is one of the lightest cameras in the world, and according to Panasonic it has the lightest body. The Panasonic G10 is expected to be the answer to this year's most emphasized requirement, namely a decrease in prices due to more competition from manufacturers such as Olympus, Samsung and Sony. The latter has recently clarified its strategy during the CES, with respect to system cameras, and the general expectation is that the first Sony system cameras will be introduced around the time of the Photokina 2010 in September. The Panasonic Lumix G10 is very similar to the G2, but it has a few lesser specifications.

Nikon D3s review

Dennis Hissink : 2010-02-08 01:00:00
Nikon D3s digital SLR camera test : For a long time, Nikon users had been eyeing Canon with a slight degree of envy. Canon’s top models suffer less from noise. As a result, a group of photographers actually made the switch to Canon. That is; until Nikon introduced the D3. Thanks to this camera, Nikon regained the position that had been theirs for so long: at the top of the list, and first choice for most photo journalists. The D3 performs very well at high ISOs, is fast and has a great autofocus. There is not much to comment about the Nikon D3, however, Nikon has yet again updated the model to the Nikon D3s.
