Panasonic lens review

Dennis Hissink : 2010-07-16 14:50:00
Panasonic 7-14mm lens review : At the start of 2009, Panasonic introduced a wide angle zoom lens for its Micro Four Thirds System: the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 7-14mm / F4.0 ASPH. Photographers immediately recognized the potential that this Panasonic zoom lens has: it is very compact, clearly lighter weight while maintaining a constant maximum aperture of f/4. The advantage of a so-called short flange back is included in the design of the Panasonic lens, resulting in a very compact ultra wide angle zoom lens. Because the Panasonic 7-14 mm lens has a very wide angle of view (114˚), it is easier to capture subjects when space is limited. We used the new Panasonic Lumix G2 in order to test the lens thoroughly.

Dennis Hissink : 2010-05-26 09:40:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 review : Panasonic has had a lot of success with its TZ-series, and if it’s up to Panasonic, this success will last a little while longer. The new Panasonic Lumix TZ10 is the newest camera in the TZ-series, this time with built-in GPS. Strangely enough, GPS is only slowly being included as a standard specification by the camera manufacturers. Smartphones and GPS are slowly becoming the standard in mobile phones, but many interesting solutions can also be imagined for the camera in which GPS plays a role.

Panasonic DMC-G2 review

Ilse Jurriën : 2010-03-09 23:35:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 review : A year and a half ago, during the Photokina 2008, Panasonic introduced the DMC-G1. It was then the world’s first camera based on the Micro Four Thirds System, which was set up by Panasonic and Olympus. This is a system with a lot of potential, which was evident in its first model, and became even stronger with the introduction of the DMC-GF1 a year later. Although Panasonic together with Olympus have created the Micro Four Thirds System, the products are developed separately. This is evident as there are many differences between the products that the two brands introduce. With the introduction of the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2, this is already a fourth model.

The Panasonic G10 is expected to be the answer to this year's most emphasized requirement, namely a decrease in prices due to more competition from manufacturers such as Olympus, Samsung and Sony. The latter has recently clarified its strategy during the CES, with respect to system cameras, and the general expectation is that the first Sony system cameras will be introduced around the time of the Photokina 2010 in September. The Panasonic Lumix G10 is very similar to the G2, but it has a few lesser specifications.
