Canon PowerShot G12

Dennis Hissink : 2010-08-20 00:25:00
Canon PowerShot G12 digital camera : This information is based on some of the so-called 'leaks' on the internet and is therefore not confirmed. However, it seems pretty interesting to us, so here we go. Various Canon announcement dates are floating around. August 19 was the day of entry-level basic compact cameras, but we are all waiting (August 26?) for those advanced compact and EOS cameras. One of them would be the Canon PowerShot G12, a full feature packed advanced digital camera that would follow up the PowerShot G11 camera. The rumor is that the Canon G12 is a 10 Megapixel camera with 5x optical wide angle zoom (28-140 mm). It looks like the Canon PowerShot G12 is an evolutionary upgrade to the G11 with updated features.

Canon EOS 60D

Mark Peters : 2010-08-14 00:25:00
Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR camera : With the IFA show in Berlin, Germany, coming up and shortly thereafter the world’s largest imaging event, Photokina 2010, the rumors about a new Canon EOS DSLR camera are on the rise. The Canon EOS 60D is often named in these rumors, but until recently there were hardly any indications that there actually is a true Canon EOS 60D coming out. However, DxO recently published an update with a list of DxO Optics Modules. The new Canon EOS 60D digital SLR camera was also listed in almost every thinkable lens combination. Yet, if you go to the DxO site now, you will notice that the current list no longer includes the Canon EOS 60D. Canon must have tipped them off...

HTC Schubert Windows 7 Smartphone : The rumors about the coming introduction of a new HTC Smartphone with Windows Phone 7 OS, are on the rise. Recently, a video of a previously unknown HTC Smartphone has appeared on one of the many cell phone blogs. It is supposedly the HTC Schubert, a Windows 7 OS Smartphone. The maker of the video clip does not give any more information away other than just the visual presentation of the HTC Schubert. Further detailed specifications are still missing. It does, however, mention that the HTC Schubert’s body is a so-called unibody, a frame made up of only one piece of aluminum. The new HTC Smartphone has touchscreen control.

New Sony Alpha cameras

Mark Peters : 2010-08-11 16:16:16
New Sony Alpha SLR cameras : September will be an interesting month. With two international shows, IFA in Berlin and the Photokina 2010 in Cologne (Germany), consumer electronics are the center of attention. The official introduction of the Sony NEX camera system was a few months ago, and right after that the question was raised if that would mean the end of the Sony Alpha DSLR camera as well. The official reaction was that a new Sony Alpha cameras would appear within that same year. There are, however, persistent rumors that make us believe that there are at least four new Sony Alpha cameras coming out!. There is talk of the Sony Alpha 55, Sony Alpha 33, Sony Alpha 560 and the Sony Alpha 590 DLSR cameras.

Samsung NX100

Samsung NX100 digital camera : With the introduction of the NX10, Samsung has put its own version of a system camera onto the market. This is a camera that is generally received quite positively. A few months later, Samsung introduced a second NX-camera system, the Samsung NX5. It is remarkable that this model seems to be bound to one region, and is thus not yet available worldwide. The differences between both cameras are negligible, and it appears that it is actually just a price-target gimmick. Still, there are indications that a new NX-camera will soon be introduced, namely the Samsung NX100. The Samsung NX100 camera was first seen on the official Samsung website.

Mark Peters : 2010-08-11 12:45:00
HTC Desire HD Android Smartphone : Based on Android Froyo 2.2, the HTC Desire HD will undoubtedly receive a warm welcome. The information about this new HTC smartphone is not yet official, but the first postings about the HTC Desire HD handset are fairly positive. In terms of features, the HTC Desire HD Smartphone seems to resemble the Windows Mobile OS-based HTC HD2. That may explain the nearly identical product name. In terms of body, the HTC Desire HD copied the HTC Legend that was officially announced at the start of this year during the Mobile World Congress. The material used for the body is made of aluminum and is made from just one piece, a so-called unibody.

Sony Alpha 290

Dennis Hissink : 2010-06-11 15:00:00
Sony Alpha 290 digital SLR camera : Sony has recently extended its DSLR assortment with the mirror-less NEX system cameras. For Sony this is a new segment, and if we are to believe the predictions, it is a much promising segment. Manufacturers such as Olympus and Panasonic have included these system cameras a few years ago, and they seem to now be focusing solely on this segment. During the introduction of the Sony NEX-5 and NEX-3 cameras, one of the first questions that were asked of Sony’s CEOs was if the Alpha A-series cameras will be continued. According to Sony, a follow-up of the Sony Alpha will certainly be introduced this year. Quickly rumors have spread about the beginner level model: the Sony Alpha 290.

Sony A290

Dennis Hissink : 2010-05-16 17:17:17
Sony A290 digital SLR camera : Just after the global launch of the new Sony NEX cameras rumors float around talking about a new entry-level Sony Alpha DSLR camera. Although the following information is not official yet, product photos and detailed specifications are accurate enough to expect the information to be true. The new Sony Alpha 290 is likely to be introduced in the following weeks and seems to be a follow-up of the Alpha A230 camera. The Sony DSLR-A290 supposes to have an APS-C 14 Megapixels CCD image sensor on board with a fast BIONZ image processor. For enhanced detail reproduction, Sony’s BIONZ Image Processing Engine infuses a sense of vibrant realism in every shot taken by an Alpha DSLR.
