SanDisk Cruzer Blade USB flash drive : SanDisk Corporation announces the availability of its smallest USB flash drive to US and Canadian consumers. The SanDisk Cruzer Blade is about the size of a standard size paper clip and weighs approximately the same as a penny, creating a tiny footprint that fits easily on a keychain or mobile phone dongle. Despite its small size, the USB flash drive packs high-capacity storage at an affordable price. Available in capacities ranging from 2 gigabytes (GB) to 16GB, the SanDisk Cruzer Blade lets consumers take their favorite digital content with them wherever they go. A 4GB flash drive can store 1,000 songs, 1,200 high- resolution photos, or 8 hours of 768kb/s video.

Boost computer performance with SanDisk 256GB SSD : SanDisk Corporation introduced its latest solid state drive (SSD) products. The SanDisk SSD G4 serves as a drop-in replacement for hard disk drives (HDD) in notebooks; while the SanDisk SSD P4, the successor to the widely used pSSD modular drive, enables designers to offer even thinner netbook and tablet computers. The new drives offer a unique balance of performance, high-capacity storage and long-term reliability. SanDisk SSD P4 and SanDisk SSD G4 offer up to 128 gigabytes (GB) and 256GB of storage respectively, double the capacities of the company’s previous SSD offerings. Professional Lexar SDHC memory cards : Lexar Media announced that it is shipping Lexar Professional 133x Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) memory cards in 16GB and 32GB capacities to retail outlets. The Lexar Professional SDHC memory cards will be available in B&H and Adorama stores in the U.S. The professional Lexar SDHC memory cards offer the maximum Class 10 speed rating, providing a blazing-fast minimum sustained write speed capability of 133x (20MB per second), while the higher capacities of the new 16GB and 32GB flash memory cards make them an excellent choice for shooting higher-resolution images and large-sized, high-definition video files with SDHC compatible digital SLR cameras and system cameras.

64GB Kingston SDXC memory card : Kingston Digital, Inc. announced it is shipping a 64GB SDXC UHS-1 Class 10 memory card (Kingston part #: SD10A/64GB). SDXC (Secure Digital eXtended Capacity) is the next standard from the Secure Digital Association (SDA) for SD cards with storage ranging from more than 32GB up to 2TB. SDXC cards, in addition to larger capacities allow for exponentially faster data transfer rates while maintaining the popular SD form factor. The Kingston SDXC card is compliant with the SDA Memory Card Standard Version 3.01, UHS-1. UHS-1 stands for Ultra-High Speed Bus 1 which is the new architecture of SDXC cards designed to reach speeds up to a maximum transfer rate of 104MB/sec., and 300MB/sec. in the future.

Samsung 20nm NAND flash memory for SDHC cards : Samsung, the world leader in advanced semiconductor technology solutions, announced the industry's first production of 20 nanometer (nm) class NAND chips for use in Secure Digital memory cards and embedded memory solutions. Based on this cutting-edge technology, the introduction of 32 gigabit (Gb) MLC NAND will expand the company's memory card solutions for smart phones, high-end IT applications and high-performance memory cards. Samsung Electronics first began producing 32Gb NAND with 30nm class process technology in March 2009. Now it is shipping SD card samples to customers that are built with 20nm-class 32Gb NAND flash chips and will expand production later this year.

Archive professional with Panasonic Blu-ray disc : Panasonic announced a new line of professional Blu-ray Disc media designed for secure digital data archiving in professional applications. The new recordable Panasonic Blu-ray disc (BD-R) will be available in two grades - Archival Grade and Century Archival Grade - with spindle packages in the 2nd and 3rd quarter respectively of this year. Due to Panasonic’s advanced phase change recording technology, the Archival Grade discs have an expected archival life of more than 50 years at a room temperature of 77°F and a relative humidity of 80%.
