The latest information about this officially non-existent product is that a name is known. The tablet will be called Apple iSlate, and could be coming out soon. The fact that the editor-in-chief of the New York Times was already talking about the so-called Slate tablet in a speech to his staff, and with the discovery that Apple has had the name patented, we will probably be seeing the introduction of the Apple iSlate in a not too distant future.
