Review Canon PowerShot

Dennis Hissink : 2010-12-21 15:00:00
Canon PowerShot S95 review : Last year, Canon launched the S90, a camera that represented a new road in Canon’s strategy. A camera which did not have Megapixels as its most important feature, and was even downgraded on paper in terms of hard specifications, but at the same time was advanced in image quality. It was a camera that was received wholeheartedly and was highly praised. The Canon PowerShot S95, successor to the S90, follows the same road that Canon took with the S90. It is a compact camera that again focuses on image quality, which is a good development.

Canon PowerShot S95 review

Mark Peters : 2010-11-22 03:00:00
Canon PowerShot S95 photo gallery : We have received a test sample of the Canon PowerShot S95. The first small batch of sample pictures are captured and published in this article. The Canon PowerShot S95 is a compact designed 10 megapixel digital camera with HD video and RAW support. A kind of camera a photographer wants to carry along in a small pocket. The fast f/2.0 lens of the Canon PowerShot S95 camera allows the user to shoot without a tripod or flash in darker conditions. The optical Image Stabilizer corrects camera shake up to 4-stops, while Hybrid IS gives sharper results in macro scenes. HD movies are now made possible in 720p at 24fps. The user can record HD movies with stereo sound and play back via the HDMI terminal.

Review Canon PowerShot G12

Dennis Hissink : 2010-11-09 11:40:00
Canon PowerShot G12 digital camera review : Canon has an impressive amount of successful camera series. Recently, ten years of the Digital IXUS camera was celebrated, which is still a good seller. The Canon PowerShot G-series is such a camera line that is especially popular among enthusiastic amateur photographers, but also professional photographers that want to have an extra compact camera on the side. Just before the start of the Photokina 2010, Canon introduced its most recent G-model, the Canon PowerShot G12.

Review Canon PowerShot SX130 IS

Dennis Hissink : 2010-10-17 18:45:00
Canon PowerShot SX130 IS digital camera review : The Canon PowerShot SX130 IS camera follows up the SX120 IS megazoom camera. It is a logical successor and lays in the trend of the Canon PowerShot megazoom cameras. The new Canon SX130IS is not very surprising; it is introduced with improved functions. The effective image resolution has increased to 12 Megapixels and the zoom range has also increased with 12x and wider angle (28mm instead of 36mm in the SX120 IS). The Canon PowerShot SX130 IS’ body has had a bit of restyling, but still really resembles its predecessor.

Canon Expo 2010

Dennis Hissink : 2010-10-16 09:20:00
Canon Expo 2010 in Paris : Canon Europe unveiled a range of concept imaging technologies which will shape the future of imaging for consumer and professionals at Canon Expo 2010 in Paris. Our interest was mainly focused on the concept imaging technologies. Building on a history of continuous innovation and re-affirming its goal to develop products recognized as number one in their categories, Canon demonstrated new technologies like image capture at the Expo exhibition. Canon also outlined its commitment to further develop its services business to deliver value for customers by unveiling a new Consultancy Services business, entering the enterprise info and media management market.

Canon 3D experience

Dennis Hissink : 2010-10-14 19:50:00
Canon Expo 3D experience : Visitors to the Projection Display zone of the Canon Expo 2010 were immersed in a 3D experience which makes use of a huge 9 meter diameter dome and takes them on a trip to key sites in Paris, Tokyo and New York. This was achieved by using a projection technique of layering multiple images from 10 Canon XEED SX7 Mark II projectors, which will create a panoramic view. The dome will be set at a 35° angle, so that visitors can look into the 3D image. The dome is suitable as a high-end solution for environments such as a museum, planetarium or visitor centre. The Projection Display zone was part of the Canon Expo in Paris which is held every five years.

SLR camera concept

Dennis Hissink : 2010-10-14 19:30:00
Canon SLR camera concept : At the Canon Expo 2010 in Paris we saw some interesting concept products. Among them a SLR-type camera that reminded me of one of the early Canon PowerShot megazoom cameras, the Canon PowerShot Pro 90 IS. The Canon Pro 90 IS was announced back in the beginning of 2001, almost ten years ago! The new multi-user SLR concept camera combines ultra-high definition picture quality with high magnification. This Canon SLR concept was also showcased at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai where among others Canon showed their vision of the future. Canon’s SLR concept camera is a camera of the future and visualizes the experiences by the world’s largest camera company.

Panorama camera

Dennis Hissink : 2010-10-14 16:30:00
120 Megapixel Canon Panorama camera : Since its foundation, Canon has striven to create new value for society in the form of revolutionary products and unique, innovative technologies. Canon is working to realize further advances in a range of technologies, including image-recognition, and image-search technologies, in order to achieve sophisticated synergies between products and deliver new value along with new solutions. One of those impressive concept products is an ultra high resolution panorama camera featuring an impressive 120 million pixel CMOS sensor. Most impressive was the ability to reproduce real-time Full HD video from any designated area of the captured scene. Wow!!
