32GB Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX

Mark Peters : 2009-07-17 21:40:00
32GB Sony Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX : Sony has launched a large version of it's famous Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX, crowning the range with a massive 32GB Memory Stick model. Sony Memory Stick HX already delivers impressive speed, so the introduction of a 32GB Memory stick makes it the perfect choice for handling the very large video files created when filming in High Definition video. The huge amount of memory space on the stick is also ideal for digital photography, whether you are using a sophisticated Digital SLR like the Sony Alpha DSLR, or a compact Sony Cybershot camera. The Sony Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX range also includes 4GB, 8GB and 16GB Memory Sticks.

Extended high capacity memory cards

Mark Peters : 2009-01-18 11:30:00
Extended high capacity memory cards : SanDisk Corporation and Sony Corporation announced the joint development of two expanded formats that will shape the flash memory landscape for years to come. “Memory Stick format for Extended High Capacity (Tentative name)” expands the “Memory Stick PRO” format series to achieve a maximum storage capacity of 2-terabytes (TB), while the “Memory Stick HG Micro” format enables a maximum data-transfer speed of 60 megabytes per second (MB/s), making it one of the fastest-smallest memory card formats to date. Format licensing corresponding to the “Memory Stick format for Extended High Capacity” and the “Memory Stick HG Micro” is scheduled to start in 2009.

Sony Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX

Ilse Jurriën : 2009-01-08 11:00:00
Sony Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX 16GB : Sony has doubled the capacity of its new high speed Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX, giving customers a massive 16GB of storage. Fast read/write speeds and a free USB adapter make the latest Memory Stick ideal for transferring pictures to a PC from HD camcorders or continuous-shooting DSLRs. The inclusion of a free USB adaptor makes it very simple to transfer data onto a PC or notebook, and ensures optimum performance. With 20MB/s read and 15MB/s write1, data transfer times are more than three times faster than the current PRO-Duo can achieve. Another extremely useful bonus comes in the form of the free, downloadable Sony Memory Stick Data Rescue Service which can quickly recover deleted photographs and files.
