Sony digital cameras at PMA

Dennis Hissink : 2009-03-09 02:10:00
Sony digital SLR cameras at PMA 2009 : In the spacious Sony booth, the entire assortment of digital imaging products is shown in all its aspects. The entire Sony Alpha digital SLR camera line was presented and consumers eagerly took the opportunity to try out the Alpha DSLR for themselves. Still, I have the impression that there's a vast difference in the way Sony attracted the attention with DSLR cameras exactly a year ago, compared to today. One way or another, it seems to me that the plan to position the Alpha DSLR and in particular the higher assortment (Alpha 900 and 700) in the current market as they are now, was not entirely successful.

Sony SnapLab digital photo printer

Mark Peters : 2009-03-05 00:26:42
Sony SnapLab at PMA : Sony’s will be showcasing its latest SnapLab digital photo printer (model Sony UPC-R20L), to address the needs of event photographers, users at retail locations, and more. The enhancements to the SnapLab system include remote monitoring and management software, a wireless print-release option, improved scalability, a pattern lamination feature and deployment software. Customers that plan to deploy multiple systems can use Sony’s optional Remote Monitoring and Management System (RM&M) software to monitor and manage system performance. The RM&M software is a powerful PC-based tool that allows users, such as nationwide retailers, to remotely track sales and make adjustments based on the analytics they collect.
