Sanyo Hybrid cameras equipped with Aptina sensor?

Mark Peters : 2009-11-12 14:40:00
Aptina image sensor to power future Sanyo digital cameras : Just when we thought 12 Megapixels to be a standard for a compact camera, and camera manufacturers had stopped tumbling over each other in order to introduce the highest possible amount of pixels, Aptina comes to spoil the fun. Aptina is offering a new MT9F001 image sensor to the manufacturers, featuring no less than 14 Megapixels. Here we go again… Naturally, a sensor should achieve an optimal performance, and yes indeed; the sensor is able to capture full video (1080/60 fps). And just where will we see this Aptina 14 Megapixel sensor? According to the information we received, Sanyo seems to seems to have taken a fancy to it / seems to be rather taken by it.
