Panasonic GH1 review

Dennis Hissink : 2009-08-26 19:43:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 review : During the Photokina 2008 where visitors were able to meet the G1 for the first time, the attentive camera enthusiast could already sneak in a first glimpse of the GH1. A prototype was taking cover in the back of the booth. Due to the visible built-in stereo microphone, it soon became clear that we could expect something truly special from this type of Panasonic Micro Four Thirds system camera. Six months later, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 was officially announced and became the world's first system camera with High Definition video and continuous AF support.

Dennis Hissink : 2009-07-27 17:00:06
New Panasonic LUMIX digital cameras announced : During a press event in Lisbon, Panasonic announced its expansion of the LUMIX digital compact camera series with a number of new compact cameras. In addition, Panasonic was proud to say that last year's target (becoming number 1 in compact camera sales in Europe) has been reached, thus enhancing the brand's market share compared to its competitors. The new Panasonic LUMIX cameras will become available (online) to the consumer in September. Sales prices have not yet been revealed. The new models mainly have improved features; we did not come across genuine innovations. This introduction will provide a suitable Panasonic camera for both the amateur and the enhanced photographer alike.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38 test photos : Shortly after attending a press conference held by Panasonic in Lisbon, we were given the opportunity to shoot with a pre-production model of the Panasonic Lumix FZ38. Since several picture/city tours were planned, it was obvious we would try out the Panasonic FZ38 camera. The Panasonic Lumix FZ38 is quite similar to its predecessor, the FZ28, yet has undergone several enhancements. In fact, this new generation Panasonic Lumix Megazoom camera is equipped with an improved Power O.I.S. stabilizer and the option to capture videos in HD resolution. The optical zoom range has not been increased; Panasonic seems to make a conscious choice for quality with the new Panasonic Lumix FZ38 megazoom camera.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX1 digital camera : Panasonic introduce the Lumix DMC-ZX1 digital camera from new ZX series featuring powerful zoom with a remarkably slim and compact body. The powerful 8x zoom lens on the Panasonic DMC-ZX1 digital camera makes it easy to pull in subjects from far away a step closer compared to the conventional stylish point-and-shoot digital cameras. Panasonic DMC-FP8

Ilse Jurriën : 2009-07-27 17:00:01
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 digital camera : Panasonic announce the Lumix DMC-FP8 as part of the new LUMIX FP Series, which pursues excellence in both design and function. The Panasonic DMC-FP8 features a high-quality, 12.1-megapixel, 28mm, 4.6x Leica DC lens with folding optics. The digital camera body is flat because of the retracting lens with folding optics which does not have a fixed lens barrel. Built of high-quality aluminum, this flat camera body provides an attractive design for the camera's rear surface, which is the part that is most frequently seen by the user. The blue LED cursor button on the Panasonic FP8 also adds an elegant brilliance to the design each time they are pressed.

Panasonic DMC-FX60

Ilse Jurriën : 2009-07-27 17:00:00
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX60 digital camera : Panasonic introduce the new 12.1 megapixel Lumix DMC-FX60 digital camera with a sweeping 25mm ultra-wide-angle Leica DC lens and a powerful 5x optical zoom as a member of the world-acclaimed FX series. Panasonic's Intelligent Auto mode - a hallmark of Lumix cameras - now includes Power O.I.S. which features a double the repression power compared to the conventional image stabilization system MEGA O.I.S. The hand-shake, which is physically generated when pressing the shutter button or when shooting at night with a slow shutter speed, is effectively compensated by the new Power O.I.S. to enjoy blur-free photography. In the popular Face Recognition mode, up to three people can be simultaneously recognized to show their names on the monitor once registered.
