Olympus E-P2 Sample photo gallery : We just received one of the first full production Olympus PEN E-P2 test cameras. After shooting a few product photos in the studio, we made the first series of Olympus E-P2 camera test photos outside. The Olympus PEN E-P2 is the second Olympus Micro Four Thirds System camera and is, in summary, an improved version of the E-P1 that was introduced last summer. Although the Olympus PEN E-P1 was well-received by the industry’s press and the end-users, there were still a few points of criticism. The new Olympus PEN E-P2 camera allows for the majority of these critique points to be swept from the table, and Olympus extends their Micro Four Thirds product range with a new, advanced new PEN camera.

Olympus ZUIKO lenses for Micro Four Thirds System : Besides the news the Micro Four Thirds fans were waiting for, namely the introduction of the new Olympus PEN E-P2 digital camera, there is more to tell you about future Micro Four Thirds Olympus ZUIKO lenses. Although Olympus hardly to not at all offers publicity about the lenses, we often find a roadmap appearing on a web site. The Olympus roadmap provides a clear picture of what we can expect when it comes to Olympus ZUIKO Digital lenses for the Micro Four Thirds System. In the first half of 2010, we will be able to welcome an ultra wide-angle zoom lens, the Olympus ZUIKO m. ED 9-18 mm f/4.0-5.6 ED (18-36 mm 35mm equivalent).

Olympus Mju 9000 review : The segment of mega zoom cameras with a compact size has always been dominated by Panasonic's TZ (Travel Zoom) series cameras. The other brands already offered a mega-zoom camera with 18x zoom and larger in their assortments, so why produce another similar camera in a compact size? However, it soon became clear that Panasonic had managed to hit the right string with its TZ-series, which finally prompted other brands, including Olympus, to come into action. • Read our full Olympus Mju 9000 review.

New Olympus cameras receive EISA Award : This year’s EISA Awards once again saw Olympus pick up two impressive honours. The brand new Olympus E-P1 was cited as the best “European Camera 2009-2010” - an exciting start for Olympus’ very first Micro Four Thirds camera model. And with its incredible rugged qualities, it’s no wonder the Olymppus Mju TOUGH-8000 digital camera also scooped the “European Adventure Compact Camera 2009-2010” award. This double recognition further confirms Olympus’ reputation as a strong and innovative leader in the digital camera market. EISA (European Imaging & Sound Association) is comprised of around 50 prominent magazines in the areas of audio, video, home theatre, mobile electronics and photography.
