Nikon Coolpix L100 picture gallery : With a long period full of camera introductions behind us, it is now time to focus on getting hold of the first test samples and produce some camera reviews. One of the recently introduced new Coolpix digital compact cameras is the Nikon Coolpix L100. This is an entry-level Megazoom with an affordable price-tag. It is completely new for Nikon to introduce this type of camera, with a large optical range, as entry-level camera. The Nikon L100 features 10 effective Megapixels, the famous EXPEED system for digital image processing, and a NIKKOR lens featuring 15x zoom with a range of 28mm wide angle to 420 mm ultra telephoto zoom. Additionally, the Nikon L100 is equipped with an image stabilizer.

Nikon Coolpix P6000 digital camera review : Nikon has enjoyed an enormous boost in popularity over the past year, which most photographers undoubtedly will have noticed. Nikon's digital SLR series is extremely successful, and not only for the professional. Both the entry-level model and the professional D3 have increased sales numbers, and Nikon seems to leap forward once again with the introduction of the Nikon D3x. Nikon digital camera at PMA 2009 Show : If there is one brand that has been performing superbly for the last year and a half, and even more important, has succeeded in standing out, it's Nikon. With an unparalleled battle concerning market share and a succession of new product launches, one success beaten by the other, Nikon has reached an extremely comfortable position. The introductions of the Nikon D3 and D300 digital SLR cameras were the start, and if you have followed last year’s developments, you will know how many Nikon imaging products succeeded after these two. Canon had to accept a big blow, which also had its effect in the professional world.

Las Vegas picture gallery : At the beginning of this year, Nikon introduced a new lens specifically designed for DX format cameras. Yet, thanks to the DX support, it is also possible to use the new AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G in combination with Nikon FX DSLR cameras. During my visit to the PMA in Las Vegas, I took the wide-angle lens along and used it in combination with the Nikon D3x. Two extremes, but with extensive Nikon support for Nikon products mutually, just as we have come to expect from Nikon. The Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G lens provides a maximum aperture of f/1.8 for a nicely blurred background with a very small depth of field. What's more, the length of the lens does not change while focusing.

Las Vegas test photos : During the Photokina, Nikon introduced a new wide aperture fixed-focal length lens, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G lens. This lens has a fast maximum aperture of f/1.4 respectively for a bright viewfinder experience, beautiful background blur with shallow depth of field. Due to its fixed focal length, the Nikon 50mm lens is considered as standard lens for the FX DSLR such as the Nikon D3x, D3, and D700. If the Nikon 50mm is mounted on a DX DLSR such as the Nikon D300, D90, D60, or D40x, the picture angle reaches 75mm, thanks to the 1.5x focal length multiplier on DX DSLR cameras. Both this Nikon lens and the Nikon D3x became available in December, so we decided to take the pair along on one of our strolls.

Nikon D700 digital SLR review : Until the Nikon D700 came around, many Nikon DSLR users were a bit jealous of Canon users. The EOS 5D was a reasonably compact camera with a full-frame image sensor, something Nikon lacked. Luckily for the Nikonians, Nikon solved this problem with the introduction of the D700. The Nikon D700 features the same sensor as the more expensive D3 which has already proven itself.
